Memories in Toscana

2018년 7월 유난히 덥던 여름에 부모님, 동생, 와이프 사랑하는 가족 모두 함께 이탈리아와 스위스 여행을 다녀왔습니다. 온가족이 함께여서 더 의미가 있었는데 특히 첫번째로 방문했던 ‘Toscana’ 지역이 가장 기억에 남았습니다.

I have been Italy and Switzerland last July 2018 with my lovely whole family including parents and bro. It was more meaningful because everyone was together. Everything was really great but among them, ‘Toscana’ that I first time visited, is the most memorable thing for me.

‘Toscana’는 숙소였던 ‘Rome’에서 상당히 멀리 떨어져 있었습니다. 버스로 이동하는데 꽤 많은 시간이 소요되었습니다. 물론 가는 도중에 많이 힘들었지만, 도착해보니 ‘Toscana’의 풍경은 가치가 있었습니다.

Actually ‘Toscana’ was pretty far from the ‘Rome’. Because I think it took almost or hours to get there by bus which was definitly a lot hours on the road. So of course, I felt tired on the way to there but when I arrived there I felt it was worth it.

끝이 보이지 않는 지평선 사이를 지나는 시골길을 따라 자라난 사이플러스 나무들 앞에 서면, 로마를 배경으로 한 영화의 한 장면에 내가 서 있는 듯한 느낌이었습니다.

When I stood in front of the cypress trees growing along the road between the invisible horizon, I felt I was standing in a scene of a movie set in ‘Rome’.

‘Toscana’는 끝없이 펼쳐진 완만한 언덕들과 올리브 나무, 사이플러스 나무로 유명한데, 우리 부부가 서있던 그 길을 그려보았습니다.

‘Toscana’ is famous for its endless gentle hills, olive trees and cypress trees. I painted this landscape whoch I took picture as the road our couple stood on.
